Web & Film launch

LANSING – Just days after Gov. Snyder’s special message on energy and ahead of upcoming legislative debate on energy policy, the Michigan Conservative Energy Forum (MCEF) launched a new informational video and website to help conservatives engage in the energy debate as Michigan's current energy law expires this year.  Find the film by clicking here and the website at www.MiCEF.org.

“It's a critical time when it comes to the debate on Michigan's energy future and MCEF is excited to announce the launch of a new website and informational video," said Larry Ward executive director of MCEF, “The video gives people a taste of what MCEF is all about and the website will give them the information they need to become an involved voice in the energy debate.”

Recent studies by The Hill Group, Inc. found tremendous opportunity to spur economic growth and support Michigan jobs by increasing our use of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Key findings include:

Implementing a 20% renewable energy standard by 2025 could have a $6 billion impact, with 40,000 job-years supported.

Removing the cap on the energy optimization program could create $22 billion in economic output and support 163,000 jobs.
