Edward “Ed” Rivet II

Executive director

Ed has 35+ years of experience in Michigan policy making, including 30 years as the chief pro-life lobbyist/strategist. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public administration from Michigan State University. He’s been involved in political campaigns for over four decades, managed record-setting statewide petition drives and has extensive media experience, including hosting a daily current-events local radio program.

Ed walks the walk when it comes to advanced energy. He has a geothermal system and solar panels at his home and drives a hybrid electric vehicle. A lifelong Michigander, his views on stewarding our natural resources have been shaped by life experiences as an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster, hunter and canoeing and fly fishing the AuSable River his entire life.

Andrew Hall

Director of programs & operations

Andrew joins MICEF from the Michigan Land and Liberty Coalition, where he traveled across the state meeting with local elected officials to advocate for fair energy ordinances and worked with local landowners to help protect their property rights and their ability to use their land in their best economic interest. A Michigan native, Andrew is committed to working toward a more diverse, reliable, and efficiently powered energy future.

Andrew is passionate about soccer and coaches at his local high school. He also volunteers his time to support underprivileged youth in his community. In his free time, he enjoys spending summer weekends up north with his family at the lake.

Ryan Carrigan

Policy & Program Senior Manager

Ryan has 20 years of public policy experience while exclusively working in the energy industry the past five years. He has an extensive background working in land use, real estate, and permitting and continues to support several local townships in zoning and planning matters. Ryan has a graduate degree in applied economics and completed his undergrad at Kalamazoo College in political science. When not talking about energy policy he is most likely sailing Lake Michigan, fly fishing up north, or out hiking with his dogs.
