Edward “Ed” Rivet II
Executive director
Ed has 35+ years of experience in Michigan policy making, including 30 years as the chief pro-life lobbyist/strategist. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in public administration from Michigan State University. He’s been involved in political campaigns for over four decades, managed record-setting statewide petition drives and has extensive media experience, including hosting a daily current-events local radio program.
Ed walks the walk when it comes to advanced energy. He has a geothermal system and solar panels at his home and drives a hybrid electric vehicle. A lifelong Michigander, his views on stewarding our natural resources have been shaped by life experiences as an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster, hunter and canoeing and fly fishing the AuSable River his entire life.
Emily (Pallarito) Szczerowski
Director of programs & operations
Emily is 2019 graduate of Michigan State University with degrees in Public Policy and Interdisciplinary Studies: Community Governance & Advocacy. She has more than a decade experience in the non-profit and political areas that span from involvement with local community foundations to fundraising and advocating for Michigan’s second largest PAC. Emily is no stranger to the energy movement: she “grew up” with MICEF, joining its Inaugural Pischea Fellowship Class in 2017-18, then transitioned to Leadership Council Member serving as the Organization’s Development Coordinator.
Outside of work, Emily is a certified RYT-200 yoga instructor, and enjoys cooking and traveling the world with her husband Vinny.
