The MICEF Leadership Council is comprised of conservative leaders who believe Michigan needs to diversify its energy portfolio and move towards a true “All of the Above” generation mix, with an emphasis on transitioning to cleaner and more renewable forms of energy.

“We are thrilled to have such qualified individuals joining our Leadership Council,” said Ed Rivet, executive director of MICEF. “Todd’s experience as an educator, an ordained minister, and an advocate for the underprivileged, combined with Pallarito’s public policy work and community outreach efforts will help us broaden our scope and expand our network to achieve affordable, reliable and increasingly clean energy. The Michigan Conservative Energy Forum is proud to welcome them to our Leadership Council.”

“Energy policy directly affects the lives of all Michiganders, and I have seen first-hand how important it can be to Michigan’s most vulnerable residents,”saidTodd, Battle Creek native and MICEF Leadership Council Member. “I believe that innovation and conservative principles such as free markets and competition will drive down the cost of electricity, making it more affordable for low-income families, schools, and churches.”

“My participation in the MICEF Fellowship Program opened my eyes to the importance of energy policy and taught me that conservatives have a significant role in the clean energy movement,” said Pallarito, Gaylord native and MICEF Leadership Council Member. “We all consume energy; it’s a bipartisan issue—one that has become unnecessarily polarized in recent years. I am excited to be part of an organization that is taking an active leadership role to depoliticize the issues that matter and improve our state’s energy policy, economy, and environment to the benefit of all Michigan ratepayers.”
