MCEF welcomes new Leadership Council members

LANSING, MI – Larry Ward, executive director of the Michigan Conservative Energy Forum (MCEF), today issued the following statement regarding its new leadership council members:

“We are excited to announce the addition of Jim MacInnes and Dean Berden to our Leadership Council.  Jim has a strong background in strengthening U.S. energy security and business leadership.  Dean has been living off the grid in his solar powered home for 14 years and has a deep understanding of the importance and value of renewable energy.”

Jim MacInnes is CEO of Crystal Mountain Resort and chair of the Michigan Utility Consumer Participation Board, which represents the interests of residential ratepayers in electric and gas utility rate cases.  Jim is a long time advocate of strengthening U.S. energy security through the deployment of renewable energy, transportation electrification and by reducing energy waste.

“I am thrilled to be joining MCEF,” said Jim MacInnes, “The promotion of clean energy policies will lead to better energy security and a healthier environment for future generations.”

Dean Berden runs an 850-acre certified organic farm in Sanilac County and is the Vice Chair of the Sanilac County GOP. He also serves on the Health Board and Department of Human Services Board for Sanilac County and runs a solar installation business. Dean has a passion for giving back to his community and teaching others the value of responsibly using our natural renewable resources.
