LANSING, Mich. (May 6, 2020) — The Michigan Conservative Energy Forum (MICEF) announced today the hiring of JR Miller as its new Director of Programs & Operations. In this role, Miller will support a variety of communications and programming efforts, including leading the organization’s Fellowship Program into the new decade.
A Michigan native, Miller joins the team at MICEF with a wide range of skills and experience. Most recently, he served as President of Operations for Ellison Brewery and prior to that he was Director of Operations for Great Lakes Empowerment Services. His background includes extensive marketing and communications experience, program development, and military service. He has also worked both for Consumers Energy and with a consulting firm supporting Consumers Energy and other utilities in their energy efficiency programs. Miller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.
MICEF works to educate the public and policymakers on the immense economic and security benefits of diversifying Michigan’s energy portfolio and moving towards a true “All of the Above” generation mix, with an emphasis on transitioning to cleaner and more renewable forms of energy.
